November 25-27, 2005, West Springfield, MA. Wyatt earned his Rally Novice title with 2 qualifying legs, one of which was a second place in a class of 20 dogs. Patriot got 2 Best of Opposite awards behind his sister Marnie.

November 12-13, 2005. CPE trial, Manchester, NH. Wyatt received a Q and a third in level 4 Colors and a Q and a third in level 5 Jumpers. Patriot received a Q and second in level 4 standard and a Q in level 5 wildcard.

October 8-, 2005. USDAA Agility trial, Manchester, NH. Wyatt and Patriot won the P1 Pairs competition against some very good dogs. Wyatt received qualifying scores in Snooker and Jumpers. Patriot received qualifying scores in jumpers, standard, and snooker.

October 1-2, 2005. Patriot completed his CPE CL3 agility title. Wyatt completed his CPE CL3H title and just needs a few standard legs for his CL3 title.

Septemer 2005. Wyatt received two novice rally legs including a fourth in one of them. He showed good improvements in 2 obedience trials but not quite enough to qualify. He needs 2 more legs for a CD.

September 9, 2005. Patriot and Wyatt earned their Canine Good Citizen certificates. While not that hard to obtain, it shows basic canine good manners and is a prerequisite to therapy dog work. Patriot is currently ranked #28 in breed points for whippets nationally.

September 3-4, 2005. Hanover, PA. We had a fun weekend coursing in Pennsylvania. Patriot was tied for a 3-4-5 runoff Sunday in a very competitive field of 19 whippets but had to be scratched due to lameness. He is fine now.

August 27, 2005. Patriot won a Best of Breed and a group 3 over a large entry of whippets.

August 13, 2005. Ballston Spa, NY. Patriot picked up 3 Best Opposite awards.

August 8, 2005. Hampden, CT. Patriot finished his level 3 standard CPE title. Wyatt finished his CPE Level 2 overall title. Wyatt had a great weekend with 6 out of 8 qualifying runs and 2 firsts (in level 5 jumpers and level 5 fullhouse), 1 second, and 4 fourths.

July 6, 2005. Springfield, MA. Patriot picked up a 2 best of breed wins under Kathy Forbes and Denise Tatro with large entries on both days.

July 2-4, 2005. Delaware City, Delaware. We had a really fun weekend in Delaware at the Jersey Rag Racers Versatility Weekend. Patriot picked up 6th place competing in conformation (best Champion Dog), straight racing (Best Agility Dog), oval racing (best agility dog), and lure coursing. I really enjoyed showing him myself. We also did an obedience practice.

Wyatt had a super weekend too winning novice obedience and also high in match! It was a good confidence booster for our upcoming obedience competitions this week. Wyatt also got 4th place open in his lure coursing stake. It was great seeing old friends and making some new ones. What a beatiful collection of whippets we met and were priviledge to see compete at this event.

June 18-19, 2005. Patriot got 7 out of  8 Q’s completing his CPE Level 2 title.  I got to run him twice (2 Q’s), which was fun, and got a first in level 3 jumpers.  Patriot received 1 first, 3 seconds, 1 third, and 1 fourth place.  

Wyatt got 3 q’s including a nice first place  in level 4 jumpers and also a second and a third.  Contacts were improving at trials but the A-Frame was still causing some difficulties along with weave entries.  Saw lots of improvement on teeter and dog walk contacts.  A rare knocked bar lost us one Snooker Q as it was too muddy for me to keep up with him at the end of the run.  Wyatt completed him CL4-F (Fun Games – full house and jumpers) title and is now competing at the championship level.

May 27 2005 and June 4, 2005. Patriot picked up Best of Breed wins in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

May 28-29, 2005. Coontacook, NH. Wyatt received a Q and second place in NADAC novice jumpers on Saturday in a large 20+ field. He received a Q and 3rd in regular (standard) and a third and a Q in novice jumpers Sunday. I went to this trial to proof contacts and we certainly got a lot of practice!

May 21-22, 2005. Waterford, CT. Patriot took 2nd place Saturday and picked up one point in AKC lure coursing. He has one 3 point major and 1 point. One major and 11 points to go! Wyatt got fifth place Sunday (we forfeited a 4/5 runoff) and Patriot got 3rd place (lost the 2/3 runoff). Whippet Dillon got Best in Field Sunday with some great running. Wyatt earned his AKC senior courser title.

May 14-15, 2005. CT. Patriot took Best of Opposite Sex Saturday and Best of Breed Sunday at dog shows in Connecticut.

May 7-8, 2005. Waterford, CT GONE ASFA Lure Coursing Meet. Patriot had a good weekend. He won open on both days getting his 2 first place finishes (and 38 points) needed for his ASFA championship. He won Best of Breed Saturday as well.

April 22, 2005. We have 2 whippet house guest named Bella (the second) and Ki owned by our local whippet rescue person. They are 2 nice, pretty females staying with us for a while as our local whippet rescue person has been swamped with new rescues.April 20, 2005. Wyatt got his first Q in novice obedience! He also won a prize for high scoring whippet at the trial. I am very proud of him. He has come a long way!

April 16-17, 2005. Both boys had a good weekend. Wyatt got 4 Q's, a 4th, and 1 first at a CPE trial in Newfane, VT. Best run was an excellent standard run where he got first and 3 great contacts, perfect weaves, and a clean run. We have been working hard at proofing contacts at trials. Patriot went to the shows where he got best of breed Saturday under P Levi Marsman. He got Best of Breed (BOB) Sunday under Dr. Anthony DiNardo and then went on to get a group 3 in Hound group under judge B Nolan Dale.

April 10, 2005 - Conway, MA. We fostered Bella Donna this weekend. She is a very sweet whippet girl, 2 1/2 years old. She loves to snuggle, fetch squeaky toys, and play chase games with Wyatt. She is good with cats and other dogs. She comes when calls and is housebroken.

March 26-27, 2005 - West Springfield, MA. Patriot received his AKC Novice Agility (NA) and Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) titles Sunday in his second AKC agility meet. He received 2 placements Sunday, a second in standard and a third in jumpers. Wyatt received his NAJ title Saturday with a second place finish. He stayed in novice Sunday and received another Q and a fourth place. Wyatt has qualified in 4 out of 4 times in AKC jumpers.

March 12-13, 2005 - Amherst, NH AKC Agility Meet. Patriot got a double Q Saturday with a first in standard and a second in jumpers with weaves (JWW). Wyatt got a third in JWW and a Q. They ran in the Novice A class. On Sunday, Wyatt Q'd in standard and JWW with 2 second place placements. Patriot Q's in JWW with a first place.

March 5-6, 2005 - Wyatt finished his CPE Level 2 handler games, level 2 strategy games, and level 3 fun games titles. He received a first place in level 2 colors with a blazing 11 second run. He had the second fastest time in all of level 1 and 2. He ended up with 5 qualifying legs and also a third place in wildcard. Patriot finished his level 2 standard title with 2 cleans runs. He had 5 qualifying legs total and a second, third, and fourth.

February 19-20, 2005. Hartford. Patriot went Best of Opposite both days. Zoey, currently #1 all-breed, got Best of Breed both days.

February 13, 2005 - Wyatt got a Q and a 3rd in a fantastic snookers run with one of the lowest times in the whole class at the All Dogs Gym CPE meet in Manchester, NH.

February 5, 2005 - Patriot got 3 Q's and a second place in Snookers and Wyatt got 2 Q's and a first in snookers at CPE meet in Hamden. CT.

January 15,16, 17, 2005 Patriot took Best of Opposite Sex on January 15 under judge Edward Lyons. His sister Marnie took Best of Breed. They finished the same on Sunday under judge Toddie Clark. On Monday, Patriot took Best of Breed under judge James White.

January 2, 2005 - Patriot finished his CPE level 1 title with a 3rd place standard run. In 11 events, Patriot had 8 qualifying legs with 3 firsts, 3 seconds, and 2 thirds. Wyatt had 5 qualifying legs with 2 firsts, and a second. He had 3 non-qualifying placements: a first, third, and a fourth. Wyatt got his first level 3 qualifying leg with a first place in jumpers.

November 28, 2004 - Patriot came in 9th (of 45) in the STARS triathlon and won the Williams Trophy given to the show pointed whippet with the highest score in the meet.

November 21, 2004 - Patriot took Best of Opposite Sex at the Springfield Kennel Club show Thanksgiving Cluster.

November 13-14, 2004 - Wyatt completed his CPE level 1 agility title. Wyatt earned 5 qualifying scores with 3 thirds and a fourth. Patriot earned 6 qualifying runs with 2 seconds, a third and a fourth.

October 16-17, 2004. Wyatt and Patriot earned their AKC JC titles on Saturday. Patriot went on to win a 3 point major Sunday.

September 26-27, 2004. Wyatt earned a first place in CPE level 1 jumpers with a blazing 24 second run.
