This shows the landing area where logs are loading onto log carriers. This area has had frequent hydralic oil spills. You can see the wetland area in the background. 304 CMR regulations say that "Minimize the use of heavy equipment within 200 feet of streams and other water bodies." It appears that the landing was moved from the original cutting plan. I am trying to determine why it was moved. It seems like a bad idea to have the landing adjacent to a large wetland system especially when vehicles are leaking petrochemicals.
